New Construction

Horizon was awarded the new construction of a 1-story free-standing 6,200-SF library building featuring classrooms, a community room, circulation desk, lobby, reading room, children's reading nook, teen reading nook, offices, workrooms, a terrace, covered walkways, and ADA compliant restrooms; as well as a new surface parking lot. The project was a steel frame/wood Glulam structure with brick veneer on coldformed metal framing of exterior walls. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior buildout using scheduled finishes. This facility provides library services to the adjacent lower school and middle school campuses during school hours; after school hours it will function as a Houston Public Library.
