PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ennis Street Parking Garage | This 368,000-SF; $12.5M Parking Garage Structure included 1,000-parking spaces featuring brick, pre-cast concrete, and limestone-colored cast stone. This Phase I garage, the first of three planned, houses over 10,000-SF of retail space on the ground-level. This retail space houses student support entities such as a bookstore and print shop. At the inception of these two parking garages, Texas Southern discovered a $4M shortfall. Horizon Value Engineered the garages to compensate for the oversight. Through a collaborative effort between Horizon and TSU, the parking garages were successfully built and completed on time and within budget.

Cleburne Ave Parking Garage | The Cleburne Avenue Parking Garage is a 334,054-SF parking garage and the second of a three-phase parking improvement plan for TSU. This Parking Garage was designed to accommodate 1,000-cars and the quadrangle that houses the garage is equipped to handle up to 1,500-cars. In addition to parking, the garage has over 1,941-SF of office space, which includes 2-offices for the TSU Police Department, 3-administrative offices, and a public lobby area. The garage features brick, pre-cast concrete, and perforated metal paneling and a framing system or “mesh” to match the University's aesthetics.
