PROJECT OVERVIEW
The City of Bellaire Municipal Building Complex is two separate facilities connected by a covered breezeway. The 22,750-SF Civic Center and City Hall is 2-story and contains designated space for city hall administration, offices, a senior outreach program, community meeting areas, and several city departments. The goal of the project was to create a lively, inviting, and active facility for city residents to gather for civic events. Maximizing flexible meeting space for city staff, departments, programs, and residents to use — kept costs down and minimized the square footage allowing for more green space to be preserved. Versatilely designed to be divided into as many as three multi-purpose spaces, or to be combined as a single open gathering space, the Civic Center accentuates views of the Town Square and provides the facility with transparency, safety, and security. This project is LEED Certified and designed to be highly-secure, flexible, sustainable, and is a highly-functional space. RENDERING: Courtesy of PGAL Architects
