SER Niños Children’s Library new construction project was designed with sustainability, endurance and educational impact.

The library is a one-story, free-standing building, consisting of 6,200 sf. Of library space, classrooms, meetings areas and offices. The structure is a steel frame/wood and Glulam structure. The exterior is a brick veneer on cold formed metal framing walls. The southeast side of the building boosts windows from the ceiling to the desk height of the building. The asymmetrical ceiling means that these windows let in amble natural light and enhance the sustainable design. Custom millwork frames the interior and exposed duct work adds an educational component for future STEM interests. Carved out nooks add collaborative project space and cozy reading quarters.

The library was also constructed with for extra-safety measures in the parking area, so that students are able to be seen when entering and exiting a building.
