Harris County Joint Processing Center

Horizon was awarded as Construction Manager-at-Risk for the new 250,000 SF Harris County Joint Processing Center. Working in collaboration with Harris County, the City of Houston, and PGAL Architects, Clark+Horizon built a new facility that will improve any deficiencies in the current functions and operations of the previous detention facility.

Texas Southern University Residential Housing

The project is a seven-story Student Residential facility for Texas Southern University’s freshman with an open courtyard that includes multi-use academic and social spaces.

SER Niños Children’s Library new construction project was designed with sustainability, endurance and educational impact.

The project was completed using Design Build and incorporated ornate architectural details, both on the interior and the exterior. Elaborate millwork adorns the sanctuary, which also features a 14 foot marble alter, fresco painted ceiling and patterned granite floors.

Texas Southern University Cleburne and Ennis Parking Garages

Construction management agent on new ground up construction on two (2) Parking Garage Structures (369,350 Sq Ft. and 368,000 Sq Ft.)  including 2200 Parking Spaces and Mixed–Use Retail. At inception of project the owner discovered a 4 million dollar shortfall. Through a collaborative effort between Horizon and Cadence-McShane the project was successfully built and completed on time and within budget..

City of Bellaire Nature Discovery Center

The Nature Discovery Center serves hundreds of visitors a year who are now treated to garden demonstration, zoological lesson and sustainable designs. Children and adults alike are treated to leaf-stamped concrete while bird watching and learning about ecological practices.
